What’s the story behind your name?

We got a bonifide origin tale. Get your favorite reading snack, put on your imagination hat, and let’s get this metaphorical cart on track!

Amid a worldwide epidemic, Chaos challenged Order again. Knowing the battles would ensue wherever they crossed, unnecessary panic flooded the lands. When it had all settled, humanity was left with slow changes and fast depression setting in.

   As an individual navigating the adult adventure, I was fresh off of a heartbreak and down on my dollars drastically!

With a fleeting yet optimistic hope and the last slivers of faith, I consoled my then manager, and now a close business colleague.

They questioned my willpower. Then, they reasoned with my resolve. All this over a late closing shift while allowing reflection naturally and safely.

We concluded after sharing some personal experiences and exchanging statements of encouragement.

Within 2 years, we created a synergy and camaraderie in the workforce. These efforts planted an idea. Which then bloomed into an ‘Eureka’ moment that sets the stage for this play, so to speak!

It made me think… If… and I meant it rhetorically at first. More as a motivational thought…

That question kept me up at night. A little over a week, 8 days in fact, I festered with this idea… It rekindled the curiosity inside a foggy and exhausted soul. A young upstart, just looking for an answer. It was more of an opportunity. Anything to allow growth. Maybe a guild on where to go..

I found it in the imagination. Now, it’s time to bring it to reality…

The term ‘If’ is used mostly in hypotheticals… that was the basis of the Epiphany!

If you want to do it or would like something, then go for it regardless of the results. By minimizing the gratification and maximizing the output, the effort itself would be the residual inspiration!

I had found a way out of the rabbit hole but at a turtle’s pace. With some planning, odd encounters, and bizarre experiences…

Infinite Fathoms Inc.

was born. A blog that has now evolved into multimedia recording studio and content hub for those needing a jolt of motivation!

Now, with a name, logo, and purpose, we’re in the game! After getting the basics established, a penname or nickname for situations such as blogs and branding where next on the docit!

How did you come up with 8Fathoms? You ask well…

Have you ever turned the number 8 sideways? “∞” this is the universe sign for infinity!

Now, the word Fathom has multiple meanings; roughly 6 feet below water in a nautical sense… Another definition of the word is the understanding of a concept after much or intense thought processing!

Playing on the second meaning; 8Fathoms just seem to fit perfectly!
